Tell us about your collection.
We buy a few trading card collections each year, generally within 250 miles of Portland. We collect together as a dad and sons, and we often keep several cards from the collections we buy.
Show us your cardsWe know these cards have a history.
Some collections were built over decades, shared with family, or set aside for a reason. We’ll treat yours with respect. We love the hobby, especially the time it gives us together as a family.
We’re selective because we buy only a few collections a year. If the photos and details look like a fit, we’ll get in touch to learn more. You do not need to sort or price every card before writing to us.
How we arrive at a number.
We look at recent sales of comparable cards, condition, what is actually in the collection, and the time it will take to sort and sell it. An initial range from photos is only a starting point; we may need to inspect the cards in person before making a final offer.
Our goal is to earn 8–10% on the money we invest in a collection, after selling costs and allowing for our time.
To give ourselves room to do that, we generally need at least 30% of the expected selling price between what we pay and what we expect the cards to sell for. That working room has to cover:
- Selling feesMarketplace and payment fees come out of each sale.
- Shipping and packingPostage, sleeves, holders, boxes, and other supplies add up.
- Our timeSorting, researching, photographing, listing, answering questions, and packing orders can take many hours.
The 30% is not our profit. It covers the work and costs involved, with the hope of earning a modest return on what we invested. Some cards take longer to sell or bring less than expected, so that return is a goal, not a guarantee.
See a simple example
If we expect a collection to sell for $1,000 and pay $700, the $300 difference is our working room. Selling fees, shipping, supplies, and our time all come out of it.
Our 8–10% return goal would be $56–$70 on the $700 we invested. The full $300 difference is not profit. A collection that takes more work or has harder-to-sell cards may need more room.
Show everything
Photograph the boxes, binders, stacks, or display as a whole. A few wide photos are fine for a large collection.
Show the standouts
Include clear front photos of the cards you believe have value. Add backs and grading labels when you have them.
Tell us the basics
Approximate size, sports or sets, your city, and anything we should know. We’ll follow up when it fits what we are buying.

Photos from your phone are fine. Your contact details and pictures go to our private review area.
We review collections within roughly 250 miles of Portland. Sending photos is not a commitment to sell or a promise of an offer.
